Migrants And Locals

After our holiday, how nice to welcomed home by
Bluebirds

and Yellow-rumped Warblers.

Perhaps it is a fare-thee-well to the Chipping Sparrow, before he skips out of the N.E. Ohio winter.

The Pine Siskin passes through.
I like to think they remember a good stopover point in Paris Township.

What I Saw

This was not intended as a halloween prank.
Something I've been meaning to do all summer, finally got around to on November 1st.
And no, I didn't use the chain saw to make the chop.

Why the chop, you ask? To reduce the width a bit (and perhaps the weight) so it would fit into a case I bought for it. Doubleneck cases aren't easy to find, especially for bass.

Of course it's easy to start on a project like this, if you're like me you have many an unfinished project lying around!
I'll have to keep you posted on my progress as I have hopes of actually making this beast playable again, and soon.
